ENTANGLED

                                                    ENTANGLED

With a laden heart, heavy as lead, she raced
Lonely, you can term the pathway
For twice, she thought not
Fidgeting, but focused on the alarm raised.

An hour earlier, she had left
In happiness she had him in a warm embrace
With farewells echoing repeatedly like a replayed song,
Till she could hear them no more
But his words she held by heart to fulfill.

Red!  Yellow!  Black!
She could see clearly
All entangled in a harsh embrace
Swallowed in its heat is the one whose embrace she beheld
Attention received!
As she stood unblinking, all she could see was yellow red and black.

‘’sleeping on duty?’’
A voice pierced, with hands that gave a huge bang on the desk.
Taken up in another world and brought harshly into reality,
A photographic reflection brings her back to life.
‘’A mere dream’’ she thought to herself.
Maybe MERE,
The future surely has knowledge to the riddle.
