MY LAST LETTER TO HER by Olatunde Busayo Solomon

So long a time my pending lines

The lines presented in passionate files
So long the pulse and the silence which is a false
Why the pulse and the ellipsis in your words?

When will my knees get your rubs?
And  my pleads magnet your hugs?
When is that time when time shall tell?
Must I wait in this gruesome hell?

My covered  heart  pretend not for you
But  this heart won't stop longing for you
When will your smiles paint my heart with yes?

And your eyeballs give a beloved look
What shall I say of your pleasing cool walks
And the rainbow in your walking shadow?
What shall I say of your pleasing acts

And the softness in your honest  words?
What shall I say of you being you?
And that of which I want is you

Free me from this vampires cage
My words are pure like one of a sage
In the book you read put me on the page
My deeds will not for once bring forth your rage

Blessed be the day and glory be the day
That day which was the day I met you
Who am I to say I love you?
